Product Description

Green tea is a delightful choice for any time of day and is renowned for its health benefits. Sample two of our most popular premium loose leaf green teas with this gift box, which contains:

- A 125g tube of The Devil Is A Woman, our Yunnan Chinese green tea with natural lemon and ginger (full description below)

- A 60g tube of Lung Chin Dragonwell, our elegant single leaf green tea grown in the Zhejiang Province of China (full description below)

The Devil Is A Woman full description

This wonderfully refreshing blend is one of our original recipes and consists of Yunnan green tea together with lemon peel and ginger root.

It is a classic blend and is just as popular now as when we first introduced it. The lemon and ginger give the tea a lively zing which invigorates the body and excites the taste buds.

Ginger is warming and is renowned for its health benefits including antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It can also help with nausea and to fight cold and flu symptoms.

Lemons are bursting with vitamin C and can aid digestion. However more importantly, when drinking, they all just taste so good together.

Lung Ching Dragonwell full description

Lung Ching Dragonwell is grown in the Zhejiang Province of China and named after the village from which it originates. It is known and highly-prized for its great quality. However, it is also very popular and generally affordable.

The tea leaf is pressed flat before being pan-fried prior to drying. This gives it its distinctive elegant shape. The tea has a wonderful green, yellow and gold colour. The brewed aroma is one of delicately honeyed, cut grass with a slight nuttiness that is very refreshing.

Health-wise, it has all the antioxidants you would expect from a green tea. It is surprisingly high in caffeine, due it being a shade-grown tea, similar to Japanese Gyokuro or Matcha. Zhejiang's mountains are covered in an almost year-round fog, meaning little direct sunlight hits the tea trees plants in this region.

Our Green Values

  • Health

  • Hand-blended and packed in the UK.

  • Environmentally sustainable

  • Our blenders have visited over 130 tea estates worldwide to ensure we are using suppliers that have a proven track record of quality and systems management.
  • A major part of this is employee welfare. It also gives us control over the quality of the finished product.
  • Our blenders are certified by SALSA (Safe And Local Supplier Approved) ensuring we can apply strict employee welfare standards to our own supply chain.
  • Our teas come from estates that strive to produce the very best quality and as such will get a proper premium for their teas – a portion of which is reinvested in the health and welfare of their employees.
  • Every ingredient can be traced back to source.
  • All of our suppliers are screened, with thorough documenting of their processes, and audited where deemed necessary.
  • The majority of our suppliers hold accreditation from the British Retail Consortium (BRC) or the International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) and many of the large tea growers are also members of Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance or involved in the Ethical Tea Partnership.
  • Our teas and infusions are blended and packed in – and delivered from – offices and a factory in the UK.
  • Both buildings were built to the highest possible energy efficiency standards. The office is built using locally sourced oak beams and handmade tiles.
  • Both also use a biomass boiler for heating, water and welfare facilities, with the boiler being fuelled by sustainable wood from the surrounding estate.
  • We do not use plastic and our packaging is 100% recyclable. We work with our stockists to re-use wholesale packaging as many times as possible.
  • Our fusu tea temples are made from plant-based materials.
